Hamta Pass – Chander Tal Lake –
Baralachala Pass : (Himachal Pradesh)

| Day 01 : |
Manali (2000m) to Sethan Village
(2500m), around 4-5 hours walk ( here one can see the
local culture of village of Kullu, old villages, ancient
temple of Jamadagani Rishi which lead to famous route
which was used by Pandavas during their exile). |
| Day 02 : |
Bhrigu – Rohtang
Pass(3978m)……………14 km
(around 6-7 hours walk). A vertical high altitude trek
for Rohtang pass. One can see some peaks of central
Lahaul and river Chandra. It is not advisable for overnight
stay at Rohtang top. |
| Day 03 : |
Rohtang – Dashour lake(4000m)
– Marrhi(3500m)…………6 km
(around 2-3 hours walk). An almost vertical trek from
Rohtang to the lake, whose water is reputed to have
curative power for skin diseases. A rest house is situated
at Marrhi.. |
| Day 04 : |
Marrhi – Kothi(2800m)………….16
km (around 4-5 hours walk). One loses height up to Rahalla
where there is beautiful water fall and then one has
walk along the river Beas to Kothi .One can see rocky
cliffs on one side and dense forest of Devdar and pine
on the other from Kothi. |
| Day 05 : |
Kothi – Manali(2050m)………….13
km. One has to pass through Palchan village and on the
way there is cold water spring. |
| Day 06 : |
Chandertal lake –
Tokpo Gongma (4320m), around 8 hours walk. A narrow
valley leads towards the wider & higher valley which
is closer to a famous peak. You can see flowers all
around with yellow & blue poppy making view eye
soothing. One will love the view of grazing sheeps. |
| Day 07 : |
Topko Gongma –
Topko Yongma (4700m), around 6 hours walk. This area
is full of cool water streams. You will come across
many streams on this trek. The view of the Multila Peak
from this area is the frame work of an artist. |
| Day 08 : |
Topko Gongma –
Baralachala Pass (4800m), around 4 hours walk. A place
where you will feel yourself on top of the clouds. |
| Day 09 : |
Drive back from Baralachala
Pass to Manali.

What to bring : Good jacket, good shoes, good ruck
sack, cap, torch light, small knife, rain sheet &
personal gear.

MANALI
– VASHISHT – BHRIGU – MANALI

| Day 01 : |
Manali(2050m) –
Bhrigu(3500m)…………13 km (around
5 – 6 hours walk). One can climb up to Vashisht
on foot or by vehicle. Vashisht is famous for hot water
spring. One can soothe here with plunge in hot water
spring. Then begins trek through dense forest to a beautiful
holly glaciered lake at Bhrigu. There is a camping ground
including climb of approx. 2700 – 4240m. |
| Day 02 : |
Sethan village to Bhalu
Gera (3800m), around 6 hours walk( a beautiful deep
valley between two ranges with different kinds of flowers
& medicinal plant). |
| Day 03 : |
Bhalu Gera to the other
base of the Pass via Hamta Pass (4200m), around 7 hours
walk( a walk along with a small stream, the ascend is
moderate & full of flowers with small stretch of
walk on snow. This pass is old which join the Kullu
& Lahaul valley. |
| Day 04 : |
Base to Chtadu (3300m).
Drive to Batal – A memorable drive through deep
& narrow valley. The view of the C.B. range, pinnacle
of the peaks & the snake shaped stream are marvelous.
The camp area is full of multi color stone & mountain
at Batal. |
| Day 05 : |
Batal to Chandertal
Lake (4200m), around 5 hours walk ( a specular view
of C.B. range, C.B. 13, 14, 69 peaks, fresh blue water
lake at the height of 4200m. Camping on the bank of
blue water lake & watch the image of the mountain
in to the lake. The reflection of the stars in the night
is the prime attraction of this trek. |
Note : There is drive way from Marrhi to Manali.
